“With the guidance of Climb 4 Climate’s Climate Advisory Board, composed of experts with over
a decade of experience in climate-related fields, we identified The Climate Initiative and the
Sierra Club Massachusetts as ideal partners,” said David Friedman, Co-Founder and Chairman of
Climb 4 Climate. “These well-established New England-based non-profits emphasize the power
of community and the importance of climate education, aligning perfectly with our mission.”
“We are thrilled to collaborate with the Sierra Club Massachusetts and The Climate Initiative.

with millions of members and supporters. In addition to protecting every person’s right to get
outdoors and access the healing power of nature, the Sierra Club works to promote clean
energy, safeguard the health of our communities, protect wildlife, and preserve our remaining
wild places through grassroots activism, public education, lobbying, and legal action.“We are so excited to be part of Climb 4 Climate Boston’s inaugural event,” said Vick Mohanka,
Director of Sierra Club Massachusetts. “As an organization that hosts outdoor activities, we
understand the importance and connection of health, climate, and meaningful recreation, and
we’re looking forward to partnering with Climb 4 Climate, an organization that values the
importance of building community movements.”
The Climate Initiative (TCI) is a non-partisan, solutions-based organization pushing for local,
tangible solutions to a global challenge. TCI believes youth are key to solving the climate
challenge because they influence and foster climate concern among their parents, communities,
and decision-makers. TCI aims to educate, empower, and activate one million youth by 2025.
“The Climate Initiative is honored to be one of the beneficiaries of Climb 4 Climate’s inaugural
event in Boston. TCI works to educate and empower youth voices for climate action and
proceeds from Climb 4 Climate Boston will help foster this next generation of climate leaders.
Climb 4 Climate’s stair-climbing events to combat climate change align perfectly with our vision
of communities coming together to create lasting change,” said Leia Lowery, Executive Director
and Co-Founder of TCI. “Hope is what fuels both of our missions and this partnership will
harness the power of collective and intergenerational climate action among passionate youth
and active individuals”
